A Unitarian Controversy

All Sunday services are currently being held online via Zoom. Links will be sent weekly via our email list; please contact us to be added.

In October, we looked at a Universalist controversy, but both sides of our heritage have occasionally struggled with what they believe. There were a few ‘Unitarian Controversies’ actually, but we’ll focus on the impact of the Transcendentalists on what had been a clearly Christian sect. By the 1830s and 40s, who were we becoming – were we leaving Christianity behind?

  1. I know this is very short notice. I attend the UU church in Paramus NJ and am considering relocation to northern NYS. I tried to attend a service at your church once but was defeated by a flat tire. I would very much like to attend this Sunday (11/15) because the subject of UU history interests me and I want to ‘attend’ a church that I have not attended before. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    1. Hi Stewart, my apologies for not seeing this comment in time for last week’s service. We will add you to our mailing list for future services (all online at this time). Thank you for contacting us!
